About treatment
The aim of breast cancer treatment is:
- To remove the breast cancer
- Destroy any cancer cells that may remain in the breast. and surrounding area
- Destroy any cancer cells that may have spread outside the breast.
Breast cancer treatment can include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormonal therapies.
