Caroline's Garden Makeover - December 10 2013

17 volunteers from Woodside’s Assurance & Controls team came together with Volunteering WA to make over Caroline’s garden just before Christmas. The volunteers’ work included clearing rubbish, paving two large areas, building and painting a shade structure, erecting a raised limestone garden bed, laying a short natural rock wall, mulching and laying turf, and planting over 50 plants.

Woodside’s volunteers worked through the heat and overcame a variety of challenges to create an amazing outcome. The dedicated team was supported by donations from Men of the Trees, WaterShed Midland, Midland Brick, Lovegrove Turf and other local businesses. It has been Caroline’s dream to enjoy a family Christmas in her garden and thanks to the over 700 hours of skilled labour donated by the volunteers, Caroline says her garden looks “100% better already!”
