Online support - Breast Cancer Click

ECU Researcher Cynthia and Click member Tanya at the official launch

Breast Cancer Click is a national breast cancer online support website developed as part of a Breast Cancer Care WA and Edith Cowan University joint research project.

'The Click' is a support site for those with breast cancer and their supporters, friends, family and carers and is a place for you to connect with others, share your experiences in a safe environment and know you are not alone.

'The Click' is free and easy to join and once you are a member you can ask questions, take part in discussions, connect with people in similar situations and much more! From mid-December 2011, 'The Click' also offers guidance from a part-time online breast care nurse. Glenys is available to respond to forum posts, any questions you may have and will be initiating a range of discussions and education forums.

'The Click' is for approved members only and your privacy is very important to us. To become a member and participate in this breast cancer support research project, go to www.breastcancerclick.com.au and click on the 'free members sign up' option and begin your user profile.

By joining 'The Click' you will also be taking part in a three year PhD research project by Edith Cowan University, so not only can you benefit from connecting with others online, you could be shaping the future of online health support services!

A special thanks goes out to everyone who has supported Steel Blue's Purple Boot Brigade - without this much needed funding, Breast Cancer Click would not have become a reality! With nearly 19,000 pairs of boots now helping stamp out breast cancer across Australia, Steel Blue's generous donations exceed $500,000 and help continue the great work of the Purple Boot Brigade and Breast Cancer Care WA teams.

We invite you all to check out 'The Click' and join us to support the thousands of Australians affected by breast cancer.

Glenys is now available part-time to answer any queries on the Forum, join in group chat sessions, and arrange private instant messaging, and emails for more personal concerns.  So if you have queries you would like to discuss in a safe and secure environment, join the Click today.

Online Chat Sessions

We are also introducing day-time chat sessions over the coming weeks, so stay tuned and check out the events page on 'The Click' for the latest updates and times.

Members can jump online to chat about whatever is on their mind, from talking about breast cancer with family and friends to stress management ideas.
