School FUNdraising

A great way to support Breast Cancer Care WA is by holding a fundraising event.  If you are a Teacher and after an idea for your students to operate a small business as part of their assessment or you are simply interested in supporting a cause close to your heart, then we have some FUN and inspiring ideas for all teachers, students, friends and family.

Here are a few FUNdraising ideas:

  • Home made produce stall (cakes, jams, biscuits)
  • Sausage sizzle and hot dogs
  • Healthy expo - with fruit, organic food, organic made cakes and produce, fruit smoothies, frozen yoghurt etc
  • Lapathon
  • Lollies in jar guessing competition
  • Have a purple themed event likes cakes or dress up
  • Read a thon
  • Raffles
  • Toy sale
  • Participate in an event like City to Surf and get your friends and family to support you

Small business idea for assessments

By conducting a Breast Cancer Care WA merchandise and cake stall, high school students will benefit from:

  • Planning the activity
  • Deciding how to get the best oucome
  • Promoting the event (newsletters, flyers, press release)
  • Setting up a professional, informative attractive display
  • Managing stock
  • Managing sales and finances
  • Being accountable to ensure the money balances against stock sold
  • Working together collaboratively
