Got a great idea for a fundraiser? All ready to go but not sure how to promote it? Have no fear; look at our easy tips below to help you out.

Promote your event with your local newspaper

It’s very simple to contact your local media and tell them your story. The local newspapers are always looking for good stories so just write down your fundraising plan and email your local paper.


Spread the word on social media
  • Use your existing social media network to spread the word about your fundraiser.
  • Remember to include when and where your event is and make sure you tag Breast Cancer Care WA in your post or tweet.
  • Direct people to your fundraising page for information on your event and how they can donate.
  • Get your friends and family to share or retweet your event information and images.

Create and hand out flyers/posters

If you want to grab people’s attention then think about creating a flyer.  You can include the key details about your event and then distribute these to your network of friends, family and colleagues. Please ensure you send your artwork to us before this goes to print or is sent out as we have guidelines around how our logo and company name is used.

Involve your family and friends

Your friends and family will likely be your biggest supporters so don’t forget to get them involved wherever possible. They can tell their friends about what you are doing and why and direct them to your fundraising page to find out more information.
